About the Honorees:

Margot Fraser is the founder of Birkenstock U.S.A. She started the distribution company with limited capital and no formal business training or experience. From the beginning she encouraged employee participation. She felt the employees should also share in the profits of the company and established an Employee ownership plan to that end.

Dr. Genie Z. Laborde, Chief Executive Officer of International Dialogue Education Associates, is a recognized leader in the field of communications theory and its practical applications. Since 1980 Genie and I.D.E.A. have successfully trained executives from hundreds of corporations across 17 countries in the skills of influencing with integrity.

Tom Serres is the CEO of Rally.org. He is one of the country’s leading thinkers on social giving, the cause economy, and digital fundraising. Tom has helped millions of supporters connect with nonprofits, charities, advocacy groups, political campaigns, school groups, and independent causes to raise awareness and money online.

Ben Rattray is CEO, Change.org, the world’s largest petition platform, empowering 30 million people in every country in the world to create the change they want to see. A graduate of Stanford University and the London School of Economics, he was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World and one of FORTUNE’s 40 Under 40 rising young business leaders.

Saad Khan is a Partner at CMEA Capital where he invests exclusively in bad-asses. That includes leading all seed and early stage investments in the people behind Zaarly, Blekko, Luminate, Jobvite, MediaSpike, and Evolution Robotics (now iRobot) He is a frequent speaker at the D.School at Stanford and the US State Department where he served as delegate for the Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP), the initiative started by Hillary Clinton to improve the US ties to the Muslim world.
